*RPX Halloween Collection*

Hey lovelies!

Theme for this collection : The Drow of the Dark Elves Brethren💫⚡️
This collection was inspired by the Drow legacy in Dungeons & Dragons.🙌

While witches and other monsters are glorified during Halloween, being fangirls of Dark Elves ourselves, it is only fair that we dedicate a collection to showcase this hidden gem of a sinister but beautiful species😍

Why we chose Dark Elves – Drow as our theme

Sometimes villains have more character depth and shades of gray (no pun intended) compared to their opposing counterparts. And Dark Elves happen to be one of those species that we would love to read about in any fantasy anthology  These magical folk are so awesome but so underrated. This collection is more of a tribute to them, as fan-girls ❤

What is the Difference between Dark Elves & Drow?

Drow is a term coined by R A Salvatore for the Dark Elves that he introduced in his novels. And their world is a bit more complex, compared to regular Dark Elves in stories.

The Drow society is huge, complex matriachy. Their will is said to be chaotic good, although they tend to lean toward their dark side more due to their natural born abilities to master the dark arts, darkness and harness other badass skills which can often prove fatal to enemies and sometimes, even allies. Hence the famed quote used for Drows. 😈’To betray, you must first belong.’ 😈

This collection will be a combination of Dark Elves & Drow.

Pictures of inspiration

Pictures & stories are the source of our Inspiration and this collection is loosely based on Forgotten Realms novels by R A Salvatore the creator of Drizzt! ❤

In this collection, each color is lovingly named after a Drow quote.

Here is the 1st eyeshadow.
Swatched using our tester shade on bare skin

‘Follow me into the Forest shade, and None may spy on us’🍀🍃☘️💫

Color : Duochrome Emerald green metallic eyeshadow with a greenish gold, and leaf green shift

Usage : Can be used as eyeshadow, and also as an eyeshadow topper.

Video was taken in normal lighting to capture the duochrome effect, but it’s really difficult to capture the true color payoff! 😩🤣

DISCLAIMER :-

ALL THESE PICTURES ARE TAKEN USING OUR TESTER SHADES.

SO THE PANS WILL BE LESS THAN GLAMOROUS xD

2nd shade : I Walk Alone, But The Shadows Are Company Enough💫

This was inspired by the legendary Drizzt Do’Urden the only Male Drow who chose to remain in his Chaotic Good temperament, and didn’t succumb to the dark side. Unlike other Drow, he had forsaken the evil ways of his people, and his home in the Underdark, to become the legendary Hero of the North.😍

Fangirl/ Fanboy facts

Drizzt is one of the main characters in R.A Salvatore’s Forgotten Realms novels, and due to his unique traits, he is one of the more popular characters.

Unique traits/attributes of Drizzt

He’s part of the elf-master race

Being chaotic good, he utilized chaotic things like lies, deceit (primary attribute of Drow), and principles just to ensure that lives are saved.

To save others, he would not hesitate to sacrifice himself, does not engage in unnecessary killings which is the total opposite for Drow who would usually slay their allies if necessary.

Unlike his Drow brethren who had red eyes, his eyes were lavender, which only glowed red when he was angry, determined, or scanning in the dark.

Although he was a ranger, he dual-wielded scimitars named Twinkle and Icingdeath

He had a cool companion he could summon – a black panther named Guenhwyar

Our take on Drizzt : Peach represents the purity of Drizzt’s spirit, the orange shift represents his passion and war prowess, icy pink shift represents his compassionate nature

Usage : Can be used as eyeshadow, inner corner highlight and can also be blended into your blush

This shade is ideal for neutral lovers who don’t mind having an extra dimension to their eyeshadow.

It can also be used as a Face Beam (highlighter) adding the glow factor to your look

3rd shade : Hate is a dagger. Best when Hidden, & Deadliest when precise.

This was inspired by the Drow Queen, who does not let sentiment get in the way viewing both allies and enemies the same. Ascension to the throne can only be done through annihilation of each of her superior. And her blade shows no pity to her kin nor her people. Being power-hungry, driven by treachery and hate, she will be a force of destruction to those who don’t obey her order

Swatch using our Tester shade

Our take on Drow Queen : The inspo picture is more of a blue-toned purple. We wanted her to be more sinister & earthy so this metallic shade will first appear almost blackened purple upon 1st application and will appear as a warmer medium purple as you spread out the color.

This is one shade in our collection, which is not duochrome, but it will appear as a cool-toned or warmer purple depending on the direction.

Usage : Can be used as eyeshadow, and can also be used to smoke out your lower lashline.

It can also be used sparingly to smoke out your day-time looks or for vampy night-time looks. As always, a little bit goes a long way

4th shade : Trust is for the Foolish, and the Dead

This was inspired by the Half-Drow (half surface Elf/Human/ Drow) These are beautiful creatures who have signature silver hair of the Drow. However, instead of black complexion they sometimes have fairer skin, but their eye color will differ from the Drow, which include pale-blue, orange, crimson, onyx, violet, jade and black.

Born with a neutral alignment like a regular human, and harmless, neither accepted by the Surface Elves nor the Drow by birth due to their physical differences, they were often subjected to abuse and slavery, and often had to fight their way for freedom. Though they are more compassionate than other Drow, some of them tend to embrace the Dark side due to the cruelty inflicted upon them and will just be as sinister as the Drow, or even more cold-blooded, slaying unsuspecting humans, Elves and Drow. 😈

This is another shade that Neutrals lovers can try out.

Our take on Half-Drow : Eyeshadow appears as Taupe, upon application you will see the Icy gray-blue shift. This can also be used for the Inner corner and also as a Facebeam (highlight) when used sparingly. It will give a beautiful glow, when applied on top of a blush as well.

Usage : Can be used as eyeshadow, eyeshadow topper, inner corner highlight and can also be blended into your highlight if you prefer wearing cool-toned unique shades.

Fun fact : All the swatch vids were taken at night, 🌜to give the feel of the Night wanderers, the Dark Elves / Drow🤓

5th shade : Quickest way to a man’s Heart is through his Back 🔪⚰️
https://youtu.be/bc-EZ9pOcIk
This was inspired by the female Drow who usually killed their lover for betrayal, or when they found a better, more powerful partner.💘
Since the Drow community is a matriarchy being ruled by a Queen, males who were found to be weak, refused to submit to their lovers or most commonly viewed as a betrayer were often killed ruthlessly by their ever-wary, distrusting Female Drow.😈

Our take on the deadly female Drow : Eyeshadow appears as a satin metallic red with pink undertones upon application you will see the smouldering orange gold shift.
This can also be used as a Facebeam (highlight) when used sparingly. It will give a beautiful glow, when applied on top of a blush as well.
The dual shifts are so difficult to capture in vid! Video does not do any justice to this color 🤣
Usage :  Can be used as eyeshadow,  and can also be blended into your blush or highlight with a light hand.

6th shade : Treachery. Deceit. Death. This Is The Drow Way. 🔪⚰️
https://youtu.be/pI-6aDJku_w

This is shade is inspired by the motto of the Drow, who valued honor and death, rather than being defeated and spared to live by their enemies.

Swatch was done using our Tester shade

We are now using machine pressing for our eyeshadows. And lo behold, we dented a tin pan 🤣Needless to say, that became our tester shade😬

Our take on the deadly Drow : Inspired by their eye color, which is usually blood red or glowy ember. Eyeshadow appears as duochrome orangish bronze. Upon application you will see the strong metallic red base. Depending on the direction of the light, orange-gold shift will be seen.

Usage : Can be used an eyeshadow.

7th shade : Lives of subordinates are coin in your hand. Spend them wisely👸🏾 💫

This is a true gold shade, representing the Queen Drow. The more its blended, the more it will shine. While it may appear glittery, it does not consist of cosmetic glitter. 🙌Has orange and gold shift. Beauties of all skintones can rock this shade. For those who prefer a subtle highlight, apply with a very light hand. Can also be used as eyeshadow topper.

Usage : This is a superb intense pigment. Can be used as an eyeshadow topper. In that case, just apply with a patting motion, and the glittery sparkles will be seen.

Using as a highlighter (facebeam) Dot on your cheekbone area with a very light. Then blend out the dots. The more you blend, the more shiny the gold will become. When blended, the sparkles will melt on your skin, as a super gold highlight.
